Connecting Africa Value Solutions (AVS) Alumni with Employers
As our pool of Alumni continued to grow, we found it prudent in February 2013 to start the Alumni Employment Service (AES) in order to help our Alumni access good job offers as well as make it easier for our corporate clients to find qualified employees.
The Africa Value Solutions (AVS) Alumni Employment Service (AES) is a job notification service offered by AVS to assist its alumni in the job market. Positions posted through this Service have immediate availability. AVS through our numerous interactions with CEO’s and Human Resource (HR) heads keeps a database of employers who require employees with the prestigious Best Management Practice certifications. The AVS Alumni Employment Service (AES) is a FREE service for Best Management Practice certificate holders.
How does the Alumni Employment Service (AES) operate?
The AES exists for Africa Value Solutions (AVS) alumni though we currently make exceptions for qualified Best Management Practice certificate holders residing in Africa due to the high demand. Employers seeking qualified candidates with Best Management Practice certifications contact AVS. In response to these requests, qualified alumni registered with the Service are notified of the positions to determine their interest. If interested in the positions, alumni submit their application material directly to the employer.
AVS also periodically contacts employees in our database with resumes of our registered alumni. Our program is 100% FREE to all AVS Alumni.
Who is eligible?
All AVS alumni with varying levels of experience may register with the AVS Alumni Employment Service. We also currently accept applications from non alumni with relevant Best Management Practice certifications This includes newly certified candidates seeking their first full-time position as well as seasoned certified holders who have a lengthier employment history and are looking for a career and/or job change.
What types of jobs are posted?
A wide variety of career opportunities become available in organizations which vary from non-profit to small/medium businesses, government agencies and multi-nationals. These organizations are located primarily within East Africa, but requests from other locations across the African continent also occur.
