It’s always great to hear such a comment, but it’s even more rewarding when it refers to a training course that might have been a little bit neglected from IT professionals before. In this case, I mean the ISO/IEC 20000 Practitioner course that leads to the APMG-accredited ISO/IEC 20000 Practitioner certification.
At IT Governance we are passionate about giving the best training experience to our delegates and therefore we are always delighted to receive such positive feedback from them. And when one delegate wrote on the feedback form: “Excellent, I’m a convert”, we concluded that this individual refers to both the high-level of our certified course as well as the benefits of ISO 20000 implementation and certification.
We have seen a steady demand for ISO 20000 Practitioner training since the launch of ITIL® 2011 in the autumn. The driver for this appears to be the need for commercial organizations to ensure that they have implementation managers who fully understand the ISO 20000 compliance process and, more importantly, have a qualification from a recognized examination body such as APMG-International.
While there are a large number of UK organizations which adopt ITIL Service Management best practice, the number of those who have chosen to become certified to ISO 20000 is yet to grow. Increasingly, companies realize that the principal benefit of certification is automatically demonstrating to their prospective and existing customers the adoption of a rigorous and audited service management system. In the current economic climate, customers are particularly looking to cut costs. They want to feel reassured that the service they get is efficient, reliable and trustworthy.
The purpose of the ISO 20000 Standard is to contribute significantly in the communication between service providers, suppliers and customers. ISO 20000 implementation enables IT organizations to ensure that their IT service management processes are aligned both with the needs of the business and with international best practice.
However, in order to do this, organizations need to take on board appropriately qualified ISO 20000 Practitioners who will be immediately effective in any ISO 20000 project. An APMG-accredited ISO 20000 Practitioner training course would be just the right starting point to progress one’s career as well as to contribute to their organization.
